Emergency Lighting Remote Testing Unit
Our Remote Testing Units (RTU) have been manufactured to the highest standard to allow for the remote testing of emergency lighting which dramatically reduces cost, makes clients compliant and introduces predictive maintenance methodology.
The RTU’s are a standalone unit which is retrofitted to each emergency light in a commercial building. Every emergency light can then be tested, in accordance with their set test schedules on our web dashboard and in compliance to:
EU Standard: EN. 62034:2012
Irish Standard: IS 3217
Test schedules can be set by an admin to run ‘Out of Hours’ or at a time that’s convenient to building stakeholders. We can test 1 unit as part of a test schedule or multiple units in multiple buildings simultaneously according to requirements.
Test results are transferred in realt time to our web dashboard for visualisation and reporting purposes. Notifications are also sent to admin staff with details of tests carried out.
We use local NBIoT (Mobile Network) communication channels to transfer data which eliminates the need to connect to the building’s local network where our RTU’s are installed.
This eliminates the need to include your IT department and also eliminates the threat of hacking your local network.

An additional benefit of our systems is the inclusion of Temperature, Humidity and Barometric Pressure sensors being included in the RTU housing.
This allows for the additional testing of these measurements in any particular area of a building where such measurements may be needed for anomaly detection.
As the battery life of our RTU is approx. 8-10 years, depending on use, we can also predict when the internal battery of any emergency light will fail.
We poll all aspects of the emergency light on a daily basis for anomalies, any readings outside of normal measurement will be reported in real time.
